Education Outreach Lead Officer

This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Educational Engagement is responsible for leading the implementation of the University's Access and Student Success Strategy as well as its Access and Participation Plan. The vision is that the University will be a place where students from diverse backgrounds feel they belong, can thrive, and are valued for their unique contribution. The Education Outreach team play a crucial role in informing and supporting prospective UK undergraduate students from all backgrounds. They work closely with schools and colleges across the country to support young people to make informed decisions about the next steps in their education. The core goals are to widen participation in Higher Education and to promote progression to the University of Leeds.

You will be responsible for leading school and college outreach in the north west region of England. Taking an evidence-informed approach and using insights from both the school and higher education sectors, you will develop strategic plans to maximise the impact of our outreach work in the region. You will establish and maintain partnerships with schools and colleges, as well as with young people, to ensure our offer is appropriately targeted and producing the desired outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who can lead the development and implementation of an evidence-informed strategy. You will be able to work effectively with a wide range of people, easily building trusted relationships and communicating with confidence.
