Lecturer in Chinese

Are you an academic with proven abilities to carry out teaching in Chinese Language and Studies, and in English-Chinese translation? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a Russell Group University? 

As a Lecturer in Chinese, you will carry out teaching and teaching-related scholarship that contributes both to our existing undergraduate programme in Modern Chinese Studies (at all levels) and to the English-Chinese specialised translation component on our Masters in Applied Translation Studies (MAATS). Depending on your expertise, you may also contribute to other modules within East Asian Studies

You will have some relevant language teaching experience and, ideally, a PhD in some area of Chinese Studies. You will contribute to teaching-related scholarship activity at local School/Faculty level and will be actively involved in scholarship at national and/or international level. You will also contribute to the effective management of the School, Faculty, and wider University.
