Lecturer in Organic Chemistry

This 12 month appointment has arisen as a result of the award of a Royal Society Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellowship to Professor Andrew J Wilson. Your role will be to (i) assume Prof Wilson's teaching and administrative responsibilities including delivery of lectures, tutorials, laboratory demonstrating, and undergraduate recruitment activities (ii) work with Prof Wilson in running his research group and ongoing collaborative research, (iii) exploit this opportunity as a mechanism to further develop your independent academic career. 

The research team led by Prof Wilson is a prominent component within the Chemical Biology and Medicinal Chemistry Research grouping, which is one of our six major research groups within the School. Prof Wilson’s team pursue multidisciplinary research across a broad array of topics, leading the PoPPI EPSRC Programme Grant on Inhibitors of Protein-Protein Interactions, whilst participating in a further EPSRC Programme Grant on Next Generation Lithium Ion Batteries, and a European Network focussed on stabilizing protein-protein interactions. The team are highly active members of the World-renowned Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology

You will have a PhD in Chemistry, a track record of research outputs within the area of supramolecular chemistry or chemical biology, and a proven record of teaching in a University environment.
