Apprentice Structural Engineering Technician

Do you have a practical aptitude for and an interest in civil (structural) engineering? Do you want to begin your career as a technician in one of the leading Schools of Civil Engineering in the country?

We are looking for an apprentice, eager to start a career as a structural engineering apprentice technician. The School of Civil Engineering is globally renowned for its teaching, research and engagement with industry and government. It is one of the largest and longest established Civil Engineering schools in the UK with over 650 students from more than 70 countries. Our world-leading research and state of the art equipment makes the School the ideal place to start your career as an Apprentice Technician.

An ideal candidate for this position is expected to be keen on learning new skills and developing a career in brick masonry and other structural engineering disciplines. While working and training at the University you will be provided opportunities to gain an NVQ Level 2 qualification in brick masonry and will receive hands on training on multifarious projects undertaken in the research laboratories at the School. You will be mentored by one of our senior technicians. On completion of your training you will have an ideal skill set to go on to a successful career as a technician, having become multi-skilled in civil engineering.
