Research Technician

Can you provide technical support to research projects? Do you have a strong interest in exploring new techniques and a working knowledge of molecular biology? 

Funded by the Pathological Society of Great Britain, you will work as part of a technical team providing technical laboratory support for the lower gastrointestinal research team. You will provide support to our research activities, through the lower GI Research Group investigating new technologies in molecular biology including ultra-resolution microscopy.

With a BTEC Higher National Certificate or equivalent, and relevant laboratory experience (which can include a period of study), you will have experience in molecular techniques. Training in specific laboratory techniques will be provided if necessary.

This post is based within the School of Medicine, Leeds Institute of Medical Research at St James’s. The post is located in the Wellcome Trust Brenner building at St. James’s University Hospital, and reports to Dr Scarlet Brockmoeller, Clinical Lecturer and Principal Investigator.
