Clinical Research Fellow in Cardiology

Are you medically qualified and ambitious with an interest in research in heart failure and devices therapy? Do you have experience of working in clinical research? Do you want to further your career by undertaking a PhD in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?

You will support and undertake research in heart failure, exploring how current approaches to device therapy can be improved for the benefit of patients. Your research will focus on optimising pacemaker therapy.  You will lead your own studies in this area, including methods development and clinical studies and contribute to the work of the research group as a whole.

During your employment you will also work towards applying for an externally funded PhD Fellowship at the University of Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity if you are a cardiology trainee, especially if you are aiming to sub specialise in the field of heart failure or imaging or pursue an academic career. You will be medically qualified with MRCP or equivalent and full GMC registration.
