Do you have an excellent research track record, proven success obtaining funding and the vision and drive to tackle new challenges? Are you passionate about delivering world leading research and an exceptional student experience?</strong></p><p>We seek to appoint an aspiring clinical academic with a subspecialty interest in cardiovascular imaging. The post is based in the Biomedical Imaging Science Department in the Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine. The institute is supported by an NIHR BRC and BHF Accelerator award and has a large clinical imaging centre with 3 dedicated research MRI scanners (Philips and Siemens) as well as a small animal imaging centre with a 7T Bruker MRI scanner. The post holder will deliver internationally leading research in cardiovascular disease and imaging, supervise PhD students and contribute to the cardiology service at Leeds Teaching Hospitals</p><p>As Clinical Associate Professor, you will carry out research, teaching and management within the school, faculty and university and contribute to academic leadership in the field of cardiovascular disease with specific emphasis on cardiovascular imaging, in particular CMR. The post will split their work 30:70 between clinical service delivery as a consultant cardiologist at Leeds NHS Teaching Hospitals Trust and academic pursuits within the Faculty of Medicine and Health in the University of Leeds.           <title><![CDATA[DenTCRU Research Dentist (Primary Care) (MHDEN1295)]]></title>

            <p><strong>Are you a GDC registered dentist with experience of working in Yorkshire primary care who has a research interest and are keen to gain further research experience and knowledge? Do you want to work with a group of inter-disciplinary academics and develop your clinical research skills?</strong></p><p>We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic dentist who will deliver strategic improvement of access to research opportunities in Yorkshire &amp; the Humber for Oral &amp; Dental Health (O&amp;DH) addressing prevention targeting oral health inequalities bringing it out to the community by supporting research delivery in Primary Care Dental Practices and in Non-NHS settings with at-risk students in schools. &nbsp;The focus is addressing oral &amp; dental health (O&amp;DH) prevention targeting at-risk, underserved communities with high oral health inequalities to ensure robust EDI. Adopting cross-organisational collaboration and partnerships that make Y&amp;H the &lsquo;go to place&rsquo; for delivering commercial and NIHR/UKRI researcher-led O&amp;DH research.&nbsp;</p><p>The post will support the growth of DENTPRIME NORTHERN (Dental Primary Care Oral Health Research Network) &ndash; our regional primary care research network. You will be supported by the NIHR Research Delivery Networks Oral &amp; Dental Speciality leads in the locality Professors Sue Pavitt and Peter Day. You will also link to a person in South Yorkshire in Prof Zoe Marshman&rsquo;s doing a similar role for knowledge exchange and sharing best practice approaches.&nbsp;</p><p>As the primary role permits, you will also have some opportunity to be engaged in RAISED [Research Activity in Schools Evaluating Dental &amp; oral health] in Yorkshire (RiY) research delivery across secondary schools. RiY is a complex intervention to improve oral health knowledge, skills, and behaviour in vulnerable communities. You will support participating Schools and primary care-based Foundation Dentists. This will also create opportunity to explore training practices joining DENTPRIME Northern.&nbsp;</p><p>You should be have experience of working in Primary Care Dentistry in Yorkshire &amp; The Humber, have experience of research, dental public health and/ or project management and in working with non-NHS communities. Evidence of successful work with young people is highly desirable.
