            <p id="isPasted"><strong>Do you have a passion for research and teaching? &nbsp;Are you interested in developing your skills working with undergraduate and postgraduate dental students and contributing to the academic paediatric dentistry team?</strong></p><p>We are looking for an individual with both research and teaching experience to join the Department of Paediatric Dentistry in the role of Lecturer. The post is fixed term to cover maternity leave. You should have a strong background in qualitative research and experience of behaviour change approaches. The role will also involve supervision of postgraduate research projects and teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. We welcome applicants excited to work with a vibrant and diverse cohort of students.&nbsp;</p><p>The position is open to individuals with a PhD and experience of using qualitative methods and behaviour change in research. To be eligible for the higher salary banding you will need at least five years post-doctorate experience in health-related research.             <p id="isPasted"><br></p><p><strong>Do you want the opportunity to develop your existing academic experience in a supportive and inspirational environment where you can establish your clinical academic career?</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Applications are invited for a NIHR Integrated Academic Training Clinical Lecturer post. The post is available for up to four years according to the clinical training needs to obtain a CCT in Rheumatology. You will join the vibrant Integrated Academic Training programme at Leeds which provides a supportive research environment to develop independent, novel research alongside your clinical specialist training or clinical practice. Clinical training will lead to full registration and CCT and you will be awarded a training contract with the Regional Postgraduate Deanery at specialist registrar (or equivalent) grade and an honorary contract with the appropriate NHS Trust. At appointment you will hold a National Training Number (NTN) in higher specialty training and must already be at a minimum of ST4.</p><p><br></p><p>The successful candidate will spend 50% of the appointed period continuing or establishing a new research programme with 50% of the appointed period allocated to appropriate clinical training or practice. There are opportunities to align to current research interests within the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine (LIRMM). This new initiative has been developed by the University of Leeds with the support of a generous philanthropic donation.</strong></p><p>Summerhayes Fellowships are aimed at early career researchers who are immediately post-PhD and are looking for their first post-doctoral opportunity to launch their academic research career. The Summerhayes Fellows will work collaboratively across two large Faculties on interdisciplinary projects in the field of health inequalities and disease prevention. It is an exceptional opportunity for new postgraduates to develop their own academic research portfolio, interdisciplinary grant applications and external Fellowship applications.</p><p>The University&rsquo;s strategy is reinforced by a commitment to collaboration and community to deliver impact in areas of inequality. Summerhayes Fellowships will be the embodiment of this ethos, interdisciplinary in nature and working across the Faculty of Biological Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine and Health to address health inequalities and disease prevention. The research will have the potential to change government policy, which in turn has the potential to improve the health of millions of people.</p><p>Summerhayes Fellows will work on applied research projects (pre-approved and advertised with this post), linked to human health, and providing opportunities for early impact (within five years). Fellows will be supported by a cross-faculty supervisory team and will also receive training on attracting further independent Fellowships and funding. This bespoke development plan and interdisciplinary fellowship will be unique to Leeds.</p><p>Two Summerhayes fellowship is available for this year&rsquo;s intake and will be appointed on Grade 7 of the University&rsquo;s grading structure. The successful candidate will undertake a two-year fellowship in the field of health inequalities and disease prevention. The successful applicant will contribute to the overall University strategy to translate research into tackling health inequalities to prevent disease at a local, national and international level. We are looking for a talented, highly motivated individual who completed their PhD from the University of Leeds with demonstrable potential to be outstanding scientists of the future and locate their fellowship across the Faculty of Biological Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine and Health. Drawing on your clinical and/or research experience, you will deliver outstanding teaching, contribute to programme development, supervise students, and support the wider educational mission of the Institute and School.
