            <p id="isPasted">This role will be based on the university campus.</p><p><strong>Working collaboratively across IT, you will play a key role in managing, monitoring, and maintaining data centre services within a complex environment. As part of a dedicated team, you will undertake a variety of tasks to ensure a robust and resilient infrastructure.</strong></p><p>You will help provide safe and secure data centre capacity for the University, including colocation sites, and take responsibility for ongoing maintenance and operational support. Strong attention to detail is essential, as you will document risk assessments, maintain asset registers, produce reports, and keep accurate logs.</p><p>A core aspect of the role involves supporting the installation and decommissioning of network equipment, racks, power distribution units, UPS systems, and other hardware within PBX and server rooms. This includes hands-on work with data cabling installing, testing, tracing, labelling, and maintaining cabling to required standards and supporting network connectivity activities in collaboration with the Network Team.</p><p>You will also assist with procuring storage media, managing CCTV services, and controlling access to data centre and server room facilities.</p><p>In addition, you will support major change programmes, routine maintenance, and upgrade activities. Drawing on your previous data centre experience, you will troubleshoot issues, resolve incidents, and respond to complex requests. You will also contribute to resolving network related incidents where cabling or connectivity issues are involved, escalating to the Network Team as appropriate.
