            <p id="isPasted"><strong>Do you have a passion for research and teaching? &nbsp;Are you interested in developing your skills working with undergraduate and postgraduate dental students and contributing to the academic paediatric dentistry team?</strong></p><p>We are looking for an individual with both research and teaching experience to join the Department of Paediatric Dentistry in the role of Lecturer. The post is fixed term to cover maternity leave. You should have a strong background in qualitative research and experience of behaviour change approaches. The role will also involve supervision of postgraduate research projects and teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. We welcome applicants excited to work with a vibrant and diverse cohort of students.&nbsp;</p><p>The position is open to individuals with a PhD and experience of using qualitative methods and behaviour change in research. To be eligible for the higher salary banding you will need at least five years post-doctorate experience in health-related research. You will be part of an active research group and will contribute to the delivery of externally funded research projects, including drafting of grant applications and writing research reports and papers.&nbsp;</p><h3>Main Duties and Responsibilities</h3><p>As a Lecturer in the Division of Paediatric Dentistry your main duties will include:</p><div style="font-family:'Segoe UI';font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;line-height:20px;"><ul><li>Contributing to paediatric dentistry research and teaching.</li><li>Providing expertise in qualitative research methods and behaviour change.</li><li>Supervising postgraduate research projects.</li><li>Undertaking research-led teaching at different levels (undergraduate and postgraduate), including assessment and examinations, and contributing to module design, review, and quality assurance mechanisms.</li><li>Engaging in internationally competitive multidisciplinary research in collaboration with other academic staff in the School of Dentistry, the wider University, and with external partners at national and international levels.</li><li>Research funding bids:<ul><li>Grade 7: Supporting external research funding bids to a variety of funders, as well as maintaining and developing relationships with academic, clinical and industrial partners</li><li>Grade 8: Developing and contributing to external research funding bids to a variety of funders, as well as maintaining and developing relationships with academic, clinical and industrial partners</li></ul></li><li>Write-up of research publications:<ul><li>Grade 7: Writing of high-quality research publications of international standing with other members of the Paediatric Dentistry research team<strong>.</strong></li><li>Grade 8: Leading the write up of high-quality research publications of international standing with other members of the Paediatric Dentistry research team.</li></ul></li></ul></div><p><strong>What we offer in return</strong></p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>26 days holiday plus approx. 16 Bank Holidays/days that the University is closed by custom (including Christmas) &ndash; That&rsquo;s over 42 days a year!</li><li>Generous pension scheme plus life assurance.</li><li>Health and Wellbeing: Discounted staff membership options at The Edge, our state-of-the-art Campus gym, with a pool, sauna, climbing wall, cycle circuit, and sports halls.</li><li>Personal Development:&nbsp;</li><li>Access to courses run by our Organisational Development &amp; Professional Learning team.</li><li>All FMH staff are entitled to ten days staff development per year (pro rata).             <p><strong>Do you have experience of working within a fast-paced administrative environment? Are you an enthusiastic, motivated individual with excellent administrative and organisational skills? Would you like to play a pivotal role supporting the delivery of high-quality research and student education activities?&nbsp;</strong></p><p>We are looking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Business Operations Officer to support the School of Dentistry. You will join the team to provide high quality administrative support to the School&rsquo;s processes in recruitment, purchasing, HR and health and safety. This role will have a particular focus on providing support for senior staff.</p><p>You will also be responsible for managing, organising and booking complex UK and overseas travel and accommodation plans, and supporting delivery of trips with things such as equipment, itineraries and visas.&nbsp;</p><p>You will work with other colleagues within the Business Operations teams and from Professional Services across the School and Faculty, including HR, Purchasing and Finance Offices, to adopt and embed a continuous improvement and service excellence approach. This will involve establishing and developing best practice processes &amp; procedures and working to ensure these are implemented through Faculty peer networks.
