            <p id="isPasted">This role will be based on the university campus.</p><p><strong>You&#39;ll have experience of working in a customer facing role with the ability to engage positively and proactively with customers. You&#39;ll also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work well with others, and have great attention to detail.</strong></p><p>You will be working as part of a team providing high-quality front-line support to the University&rsquo;s staff and students, and to external customers across our libraries as required. Main duties include ensuring our Libraries are welcoming spaces for visitors as well as answering enquiries and assisting our customers in getting the most out of our spaces and services. &nbsp;</p><p>You will be allocated to a particular Library as your base site.             <p><strong id="isPasted">This opportunity is open to University of Leeds placement students or recent graduates who have completed their undergraduate or Masters degrees, or who will have completed their studies to be able to take up full-time work in August/September 2026.</strong></p><p>We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.</p><p>Are you a University of Leeds graduate looking to start your career or are you an undergraduate student looking for a placement year opportunity as part of your degree? Do you want to gain skills and experience in communications, whilst also making a positive contribution to our Libraries and to students studying at Leeds?</p><p>We are looking for a proactive and creative individual to support the delivery of our communication and engagement activities. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with a diverse range of people. You&rsquo;ll enjoy using your initiative to solve problems and your creativity to produce engaging content across a range of channels.</p><p>Our Libraries are key to student success, providing access to information and resources for study and research projects, developing academic and digital literacies alongside subject knowledge, and creating physical and digital spaces for different learning styles to flourish. We spark intellectual curiosity and enable new discoveries through our rich collections and we connect ideas, knowledge and communities.</p><p>Our internship role is a fantastic opportunity for you to contribute to the Libraries and University, whilst developing your skills and experience. You will promote the Libraries and engage students with our resources, events and services. You would start with us in September 2026, to work throughout the 2026/27 academic year.</p><p>You will gain experience in developing and delivering effective communications and engagement campaigns for different audiences within a complex institution. You will also develop vital transferable skills, essential for your future career.
