Working with University colleagues and suppliers, you will ensure that the University is obtaining value for money when purchasing goods, supplies and services, and that procurement processes are carried out in an effective and efficient manner.&nbsp;</p><p>You will have a proactive approach to problem solving, helping to resolve purchasing and invoice queries and will work with the SAP purchasing system (P2P) and other in-house procurement systems entering information and generating reports. You will be self-motivated and resourceful with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people and as part of a team. You will have strong numeracy and literacy and IT skills and be willing to undertake the required training courses.</p><p><strong>This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Would you like to be part of a small customer focussed Category Management team?</strong></p><p>The University of Leeds is one of the top 100 universities in the world. Behind this sits a wide range of professional services that support students, staff and researchers to do their best work.</p><p>As a Senior Category Officer (Facility Management (Hard)/Construction) within the University&rsquo;s Procurement Service, you will lead on and take day to day responsibility for a range of category activities, delivering value for money across goods and services within your allocated category. You will be responsible for managing relationships with senior managers, internal stakeholders and key suppliers. This key role supports the Facilities Directorate which incorporates maintenance and development of the University Estate, Commercial and Campus Support Services (including sports facilities, catering, cleaning, conferencing, facilities support, print and security) Residences and Sustainability Services.</p><p>To be successful in this role you will utilise your in-depth Facility Management (Hard) or Construction knowledge and experience and excellent communication and collaboration skills, to support stakeholders in compliantly achieving best value for money in all procurement activity.</p><p><strong>Please note that this post may be suitable for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route but first-time applicants might need to qualify for salary concessions.
