We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.</p><p data-pasted="true"><strong>Are you passionate about supporting young people from underrepresented groups to progress into Higher Education?</strong></p><p>Do you have the leadership and stakeholder engagement skills needed to deliver an impactful collaborative outreach programme across a diverse regional partnership?</p><p><a href="https://gohigherwestyorks.ac.uk/">Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHWY)</a> is member-owned consortium of 13 Higher Education Providers (HE providers)/member institutions who aim to help improve the life chances of students and learners, with a focus on under-represented groups, helping them better understand the benefits of and options for HE.</p><p>We are now looking for an exceptional individual to drive the successful strategy, plans and delivery of our <a href="https://www.officeforstudents.org.uk/for-providers/equality-of-opportunity/uni-connect/">Uni Connect Programme</a> in what is planned to be its final year of delivery.</p><p><strong>Background Information</strong></p><ul><li><a href="https://gohigherwestyorks.ac.uk/" data-pasted="true">Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHWY)</a> is hosted by the University of Leeds (UoL).&nbsp;</li><li>The GHWY central team is employed at UoL, but works on behalf of all 13 GHWY HE provider member institutions.</li><li>This role is based within the GHWY central team. The successful candidate will therefore be employed at the University of Leeds, but representing GHWY and its 13 HE provider member institutions.</li><li>This post is externally funded through the Office for Students&rsquo; <a href="https://www.officeforstudents.org.uk/for-providers/equality-of-opportunity/uni-connect/" data-pasted="true">Uni Connect Programme</a> (UC), which is delivered in West Yorkshire by GHWY. It includes a geographically-spread delivery team of Outreach Officers, employed at 12 HE providers, to which this role has dotted line management.</li><li>UC aims to contribute to reducing the gap in higher education participation between the most and least represented groups.</li></ul><p style="margin-left:0cm;" data-pasted="true"><strong>Please note that this post may be suitable for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route but first-time applicants might need to qualify for salary concessions. Do you excel at staying organised, juggling multiple priorities, and building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders?</strong></p><p>Educational Engagement works in partnership with teams across the University to promote higher education and the opportunities available at the University of Leeds. Our aim is to ensure that all students, regardless of background, can thrive and succeed at Leeds. The Access and Outreach teams develop and deliver a range of on campus events and in-school activities for prospective students.</p><p>You will provide administrative support to the Access and Outreach teams and the wider Educational Engagement service. You will be the first point of contact for queries from a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and will assist with schools and colleges booking onto our activities. Your responsibilities will include organising and servicing meetings (in person and online), supporting the recruitment and payment of student workers, facilitating school bookings, assisting with the organisation of online and in-person activities, and supporting staff to deliver these. You will ensure that activities are recorded accurately for reporting purposes, and that the team are given appropriate support in data entry. Duties also include making travel arrangements, booking rooms and venues, purchasing, and logging information on the staff HR portal.</p><p>The role, while primarily an office-hours role, will require occasional evening/weekend work.</p><p><strong>This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
