Unix and Storage Manager

Are you interested in undertaking a development role as Unix and Storage Manager?  Do you have experience of working in the field of large Unix/Linux & Storage environments? Are you interested in supporting the delivery of the University’s digital transformation?

We are looking for a Unix and Storage Manager to join the IT Services team during an exciting period of change. As the Unix and Storage Manager you will lead the Unix and Storage Team, ensuring the delivery of effective and high quality storage and Unix services as well as being a member of the IT Leadership Team (ITLT). You will also be responsible for implementation of an appropriate infrastructure designed to deliver robust Unix and Storage provision. 

You will be responsible for ensuring services are clearly articulated, measured and monitored in the Service Catalogue with operational level agreements to ensure Continual Service Improvements are made and ensuring the Data Centre Strategy project delivers the envisaged business benefits. 

As this is an internal development opportunity role, full training and a personal development plan will be provided for the successful candidate.
