AI Skills Developer

We are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused professional to lead the development and delivery of an ambitious AI skills programme as part of the AI Researcher Development Network Plus (AI.RDN+) initiative. This four-year project aims to transform the doctoral ecosystem by embedding artificial intelligence into research practices and professional development across UK higher education.

The successful candidate will design and implement a network-wide approach to AI skills development, addressing both immediate needs and long-term capability building. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams at the University of Leeds, Aston University, and partner institutions, you will take a leading role in analysing current practices, identifying innovation, and translating insights into high-quality resources for diverse audiences. Key responsibilities include designing or sourcing inclusive and engaging learning content, collaborating with academic experts and content creators to produce training materials, and leading the piloting and roll-out of professional development programmes. You will nurture a culture of experimentation, encouraging stakeholders to explore and share effective practices through case studies, while maintaining an up-to-date understanding of AI developments and their implications for the sector.

What we offer in return
