Our Culture

As a new employee we will help you settle in through a central welcome event, local induction activities and online learning packages. Whilst our monthly Reporter magazine, regular events and annual staff festival will help keep you updated and involved in the wider community.

The way we work together is shaped by our values of academic excellence, community, professionalism, integrity and inclusiveness. We have a constant commitment to collegiality, mutual respect, openness and transparency and continuous improvement in the services we provide.

We are committed, through our equity and diversity plans, to celebrating the diversity of members of the University and maximising their potential, underpinned by an emphasis on equality of opportunity.

We see our students as partners and this spirit stretches across our teaching to the way decisions are made about the University. Together, staff and students have created the Partnership, which sets out the mutual expectations of us all as members of the University.
