This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

The role is based within the Finance Service but will be working as part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health and the Faculty of Biological Sciences Financial Accounting team. The team has responsibility for the processing of all (non-research and consultancy) sales invoices and credit notes. There are approximately 1700 invoices per annum for the faculties. You will also be responsible for managing and coordinating the process of raising all On-Line Store requests (approximately 50 per annum) for Medicine and Health and Biological Sciences.
You will have line management responsibility for the Finance Assistant (Accounts Receivable) including training and ongoing development to meet service needs. Managing and prioritisation of workloads and directing resources within the team.
You will have significant accounts receivable/sales ledger experience including excellent numeracy and literacy skills. Full understanding of sales invoicing and credit note procedures and accounting transactions. You will be proficient in using PC based systems, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
As a Team Leader you are required to have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to complete a job to a high standard and to deadlines. Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage, although training will be provided.
