This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

You will work within the Finance Service based in the Faculty of Environment and Social Sciences faculty finance team, supporting the work of the two new Futures Institutes. The Priestley Centre is the University of Leeds’ cross-institutional climate research, innovation and learning centre. From local to global, we ensure that climate action is informed by the latest research, collaborating with organisations and individuals to transform our expertise into real-world impact. The second Futures Institute is the Leeds Institute for Societal Futures, which connects research, education and innovation to tackle society’s most complex challenges. Leeds Institute for Societal Futures specifically champions the value of SHAPE (Social Sciences and Humanities for the People and the Economy) and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) expertise to develop new interdisciplinary, challenge-led postgraduate education programmes and a series of other commercial offerings within this space.
This is a vital role in which you will support the submission of the 5-year plan, quarterly forecasts and play a lead role in monthly reporting, forecasting and planning. The role will work closely with academic and non-academic colleagues across the institutes, faculty and the faculty finance team.
