Occupational Health Practitioner

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner.   We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements

Do you want to join a team ensuring the health and wellbeing of our 9,000 workforce? Can you deliver the University’s evolving preventative approach to workplace health?

As an experienced and qualified Occupational Health Practitioner, you will deliver health surveillance, case management, vaccination clinics and swift and appropriate responses to clients and management. You will carry out assessments in the working environment and advise on methods of control where hazards are identified. You will also work outside of the clinical setting, working alongside managers providing support and advice to assist them in maintaining and promoting the best health of the workforce.

The Service currently employs a team of Occupational Health Practitioners, an Occupational Health Technician and part-time Physicians, as well as a small business support function. We provide a full remit of occupational health services to employees and some services to medical and healthcare students.

Please note that this post may be suitable for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route but first-time applicants might need to qualify for salary concessions. For more information please visit: www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa.
