This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Do you want to play a role in helping industry to access the results of our University research? Do you have experience of sales and/or account handling and possess strong communication and organisational skills?

We are seeking a pro-active individual to work in the role of Commercialisation Licensing Associate.  As a member of the Commercialisation Team, you will help in the development of commercialisation activities in one of the largest research-intensive universities in the UK. As Commercialisation Licensing Associate, you will support the University’s Intellectual Property (IP) Licensing team to identify potential licensing opportunities, respond to external enquiries, issue quotes, and build relationships with customers who use our online licensing portal. Working alongside our Licensing Managers, you will assist the commercialisation process by enabling industry partners to swiftly access the results of exciting University research through straightforward commercial transactions.

You will have a strong interest in science and technology and its commercial development and exploitation combined with some experience in sales/and or account handling, preferably in a business-to-business role.  You will be able to build strong relationships with key customers and be proficient at communication through online platforms and email.
