Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer

The in -person interviews are expected to be held on the Thursday 9th July 2026.

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you looking for a challenging and varied role supporting a professional management team? Do you have substantial experience working as an Executive or Personal Assistant at a senior level? Do you have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels?

This is a key role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and ensuring their activities run smoothly. It will appeal to suitably qualified candidates seeking an exciting and challenging role. You will have previous experience as an EA or PA at a senior director level and hold excellent digital, secretarial, interpersonal and organisational skills.

You will  be part of a professional team that works collaboratively to ensure that all members of the Senior Executive Team are constantly supported to a high level.  You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills. Diplomatic and discreet in approach, you will be skilled at managing a complex workload accurately including electronic diary and correspondence management.

You need to be able to deal effectively with complex situations and liaise with a wide range of people. You will have experience of working with external partners and be able to understand the importance of these relationships. You will support the CFO to a high degree allowing them time to focus on building key partnerships.

Handling large amounts of information is a vital part of the role and as such you will be highly organised, focussed on efficiency and prioritisation. Some work requires independent decision making, while other areas need teamwork and collaboration – you will be equally comfortable working in either situation. You will need to be reactive, have initiative and respond intelligently and appropriately to requests.

Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role may only be suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants if they are eligible for salary concessions. For more information please visit: www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa
