Executive Assistant (Interim / Floating)

The in-person interviews will be held on the afternoon of Monday 10 August 2026.

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you looking for a challenging and varied role supporting a professional management team? Do you have experience working as a Personal or Executive Assistant at a senior level? Do you have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels?

The primary focus of this role is to deliver flexible administrative support to senior executives on a temporary basis, to address an interim gap. You will be part of a wider professional team that works collaboratively to ensure that all members of the Senior Executive Team are appropriately supported.  You will have previous experience as an EA or PA at a senior director level and hold excellent digital, secretarial, interpersonal and organisational skills.  You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills.

You need to be able to deal effectively with complex situations and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have experience of working with external partners and understand the importance of these relationships.

Handling large amounts of information is a vital part of the role and as such you will be highly organised, focussed on efficiency and prioritisation. Some work requires independent decision making, while other areas need teamwork and collaboration – you will be equally comfortable working in either situation. You will need to be reactive, have initiative and respond intelligently and appropriately to requests.

Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role may only be suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants if they are eligible for salary concessions. For more information please visit: www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa.
