Structures Technician

Do you have extensive construction experience gained in either academia or industry, ideally in the field of concrete technology? Do you want to lead the technical support for our structures facility?  

We are looking for a professional and proactive individual to join our team and support teaching, research, and general activities within the structures facility. Providing advice to a diverse range of students and academic and research staff from across the University about construction and testing of concrete specimens, you will act as a point of expertise. 

You will have extensive experience, gained in either academia or industry, ideally in the field of construction and steel framework, with the proven ability to take responsibility for area management. You will also have experience in the use of equipment for testing construction materials, including data logging and storing results for later analysis. 

This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
