We are seeking a highly motivated and pro-active Head of Cleaning Services to play a key role in the delivery of our strategy to provide high quality cleaning and waste service and an exceptional student, staff and visitor experience.
Working as part of the Campus Support Services Leadership Team you will be responsible for the management and delivery of an effective cleaning and waste service across the main University campus. You will lead, motivate and develop your teams of managers and staff to deliver an effective and efficient service in line with our strategic priorities and goals, including ensuring the delivery of an efficient and cost-effective Cleaning & Waste Service. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all current legislation and best industry practices.
You will have proven experience of leading and managing cleaning services within a commercial or institutional environment as well as experience of working as part of a management team. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively with others and build effective working relationships with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
You will have awareness of evolving cleaning practices, technologies, and operating models and how they can support the quality and effectiveness of service delivery.
Hours of Work
Hours worked, will be flexible and as required to meet the demands of the business. i.e. 5 days over 7 (normally Monday to Friday, weekends may need to be worked during University Open days).
