We are seeking a highly motivated and pro-active Deputy Head of Cleaning Services to play a key role in the delivery of a high-quality cleaning service and an exceptional student/customer experience.
As part of the Cleaning Services management team you will have specific responsibility for managing our contracted services such as window cleaning, specialist external cleaning, and sanitary disposal. Alongside the Head of Cleaning Services, you will lead, motivate and develop the team to deliver an effective, efficient and financially resilient service in line with our strategic priorities and goals. You will also be responsible for ensuring statutory compliance within the Service (Mandatory training, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, COSSH) and adopting best industry practices. You will work closely with the Waste Manager to provide an effective waste management service across campus, and our partners in sustainability to work to work towards our commitments to the Sustainability Strategy
You will have significant experience of managing and leading teams within Facilities Management, with a proven record of managing contractors effectively. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively with others and build effective working relationships.
Hours of Work Hours worked, will be flexible and as required to meet the demands of the business. i.e. 5 days over 7 (normally Monday to Friday, weekends may need to be worked during University Open days).
