This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

The University is seeking a Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) Engineer to join the Engineering department within the Facilities Directorate. This new role has been developed to allow us to deliver immediate energy reduction measures and optimisations to the TREND BEMS
Reporting to the Smart Building Systems Manager, your primary duties will consist of reviewing existing building control strategies, identifying opportunities for improvement and delivering change. You will also assist with the day-to-day operation of a complex university estate supported by our service contract BEMS engineers.
You will have a focus on improving HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning) controlled systems performance in order to reduce energy consumption and associated carbon emissions, improve user comfort and provide a safe, compliant working environment.
