Are you an experienced leader in Strength and Conditioning and passionate about working in high performance sport? Do you want to help shape the future of Performance Sport at the University of Leeds?
At the University of Leeds, we have the ambition to provide the best environment for those student athletes that wish to perform at the highest level and develop their sporting skills. This has been most recently shown through the development of our new sport support service facility – Gryphon Performance Hub.
As the Head of Strength and Conditioning you will oversee and lead on the design, delivery, and ongoing development of strength and conditioning (S&C) across the University of Leeds performance sport programmes. You will ensure athletes benefit from high-quality, evidence-based training and support that optimises performance, minimises injury risk, and fosters long term athletic development. This role will work collaboratively with coaches, physiotherapists, academic staff, and external partners, and play a key part in shaping the strategic direction of performance sport at the University.
This is a full-time role working 35 hours each week. There will be some requirements to work evenings and weekends.
Please see details of the University’s Pre-employment Health Assessment within the Candidate Brief.
