Clinical Teaching Fellow (Dentist) in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual with an active interest in teaching, to provide academic support and teaching on the BSc Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy programme. There is also the opportunity to get involved in the shared teaching activities of the undergraduate dental surgery and dental hygiene and dental therapy students.

This is a unique opportunity for your development as a clinical teacher. With a dental qualification, full GDC registration and relevant foundation/general professional training or equivalent you must be capable of contributing across the broad range of clinical disciplines within undergraduate dental education. 

You will contribute to maintaining the high quality of clinical education of undergraduate BSc Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy students principally at the Dental Institute in Leeds, or at one our Outreach (Beeston or Bradford ) centres as required. Responsibilities will include pre-clinical/clinical supervision of students, and admin duties related to the provision of patient care and student education. This post will suit enthusiastic clinicians with an interest in dental education, who wish to explore the potential for an academic career in clinical dentistry. 

The role is available at 0.4 FTE, working days of Tuesday and Thursday.
