MBChB Year 4 Co-Lead

We are looking for qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds to join our inter-professional and forward-thinking academic community. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to co-lead and contribute to the delivery and development of the Leeds MBChB Year 4 Programme. The Leeds MBChB Programme is one of the top Medicine Programmes in the UK and internationally. It is also the flagship programme of the School of Medicine. It is home to approximately 15,00 medical students from both the UK and abroad.

As co-lead of Year 4 you will be responsible for leadership, delivery, assessment, and evaluation of the MBChB programme within the School of Medicine. You will play an important role in the School of Medicine’s mission to increase equality, diversity and inclusion across the curriculum. This is an exciting time for the MBChB programme with an increased number of students and numerous opportunities for curriculum enhancement, including digital transformation. You will play a key role in the strategic development of the programme.

Applications are invited from applicants who are GMC registered secondary care consultants or gps and are established medical educators with experience in leading and delivering undergraduate medical education and leading change. The role has a workload tariff of 0.2 FTE and will work closely with the existing Head(s) of Year 4 as co-leads.

This role will be based at the Worsley Building School of Medicine, University of Leeds with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner.   We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
