Research Technician
Overview of the Role
Faculty of Medicine and Health
Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you looking for a role in clinical research? Can you provide technical scientific support to research projects with experience in clinical cardiac ultrasound? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities and develop projects associated with a national society?
The University of Leeds is one of the top 80 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a leading group of clinical cardiac physiologist researchers, building and developing research skills by assisting with study management, recruitment, clinical assessment including echocardiography, and data collection and analysis across a broad portfolio of research studies. Excitingly, this post is also the first research position associated with the British Society of Echocardiography, meaning the successful candidate will contribute to national research projects driven by the Society’s research and audit committee.
This post would be ideal for someone looking to shape a clinical academic career as the successful candidate will be supported in the preparation of future investigator-led research studies within their area of interest, as well as applying for additional external funding and further training opportunities.
