Clinical Research Fellow

Are you medically qualified and ambitious with an interest in Trauma and Orthopaedic research? Do you want to gain experience in delivering a first-in-human clinical trial while working within a leading academic trauma unit?

You will support and undertake research within the field of trauma and orthopaedic surgery, working on the OsStic study, a commercially funded first-in-human clinical investigation of a novel bone void filler.

Your research will focus on the delivery of an early-phase clinical trial in patients undergoing surgical fixation of tibial plateau fractures, including patient recruitment, peri-operative research activity, and longitudinal follow-up.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Trauma & Orthopaedics trainee seeking to gain experience in clinical trials, translational research, and academic surgery within a high-performing multidisciplinary research team.

During your employment, you will have the opportunity to register for a higher degree (MD or PhD) at the University of Leeds, subject to satisfactory progress and agreement with your supervisors. Registration for a higher degree is encouraged but is not a mandatory requirement of the role.
