Lecturer in Psychology (Teaching and Scholarship)

School of Psychology

As a Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) in Psychology, your role will be to support the School to transform the educational experience of its students, ensuring that, regardless of their background, all develop the knowledge and skills required to succeed and make a positive impact in the world.  You will bring and embrace innovative and evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning that will deliver inclusive, active and digitally enhanced experiences to all our students.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual with disciplinary expertise in Psychology with knowledge, experience and creativity to specialize in innovative modes of course delivery, assessment, curriculum design, and scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). We aim to provide a vibrant, proactive learning community dedicated to making a contribution to society. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join an expanding team of dedicated student focussed Psychology lecturers.

You will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses. You will also work with colleagues to support them in the introduction of innovative curriculum design and delivery, utilizing interactive teaching methods, inclusive and authentic learning and assessment, and transdisciplinary approaches to the teaching of major themes, such as sustainability. The role also has a significant scholarly commitment, with individuals engaging in scholarly work on teaching and learning that is in line with their discipline(s).
