Research Fellow / Officer in Health Services Research

Are you an experienced qualitative researcher looking for an opportunity to take a leading role in health services research to make a difference for a vulnerable patient group?   Do you want to develop your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities?

We are looking for an enthusiastic Research Fellow/Officer to work on an NIHR-funded study focused on periprosthetic femoral fracture (PPFF) care (fractures at the site of a previous hip or knee replacement).  Specifically, we are looking for a qualitative researcher to work closely with a multi-centre team investigating models of care for periprosthetic fracture patients using qualitative research interviews and institutional case studies.  Currently there are a range of service delivery models for PPFF care, treatment is often complex with high costs and variable outcomes. The project will seek to understand staff and patient perspectives on the best model of care and develop needed guidance for service development in this area.

This Full Time post is based at the University of Leeds and will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians and patient representatives across the Universities of Leeds, Lancaster and Imperial College.  The post is offered for 8 months until Oct 2025 in the first instance with the opportunity to extend it.
