Engagement Assistant

This role will be based on the University campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you a well-organised and enthusiastic team player with excellent communication and administrative skills? Could you help us engage and grow our diverse community of students, recent graduates and supporters?

The University of Leeds engages with one of the largest alumni communities in UK higher education, comprising over 340,000 graduates across 190 countries, as well as a wider group of supporters. They are a vital part of our community, and we are committed to involving them in the life of the University, enhancing connections, sharing insights and working together to make a positive impact on the world?

As a member of the Alumni and Supporter Engagement team you will work across the whole team to support the delivery of communications, events, volunteering activity and other programmes to our global alumni and supporter community, to help graduates feel connected to and part of the global Leeds community. You will be flexible, highly organised and confident in prioritising and managing varied tasks effectively to meet deadlines, and you will be comfortable working across multiple project teams. Most importantly, you will be a people person who works best as part of a team and is committed to providing the best ‘customer’ experience, whether to alumni and supporters, colleagues in your team, or the wider University.

As part of our motivated and friendly team and reporting into the Engagement Officer (Events and Programmes) you will play a key role in delivering engagement activities that enhance the experience of our students, recent graduates and supporters, with a particular focus on UK and campus-based opportunities. This will include getting involved in graduations, supporting student and recent graduate employability programmes, as well as helping alumni to organise reunions and other community building activities. You will also provide key support for cultivation and stewardship events and other activities that develop relationships with our donors and volunteers, strengthening the Leeds supporter community.
