Student Development Coach (Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures)

3 roles available

This role will be based on the University campus. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Do you want to help students on their own individual journey of success during their time at Leeds?  Can you help our students feel they belong and matter at Leeds?

The role holder will be based in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures and work with a diverse range of students and a wide array of staff stakeholders across the institution.   With students, they will be a local point of contact and guide, helping students to reflect on their student journey and how they, as individuals, feel they wish to develop as they progress through their University experience and within their academic school.  Working independently, the role holder will identify groups and areas of risk in day-to-day processes from a student success perspective and develop approaches/recommendations to mitigate these; working with schools to test and implement any recommendations.

Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role may only be suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants if they are eligible for salary concessions. For more information please visit: www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa

What we offer in return:

  • 26 days holiday plus 16 Bank Holidays/days that the University is closed by custom (including Christmas) – that’s 42 days a year!
