Training Delivery Officer (Care to Go Higher programme)

This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you passionate about making a difference and improving access to higher education? Can you work on your own initiative and take a proactive approach to organising and delivering events and activities? Are you a confident public speaker who can deliver presentations and training to a range of staff?

Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHWY) is a partnership representing 13 HE providers: Bradford College, the University of Bradford, Calderdale College, the University of Huddersfield, Kirklees College, Leeds Conservatoire, the University of Leeds, Leeds Arts University, Leeds Beckett University, Leeds College of Building, Leeds City College, Leeds Trinity University and Wakefield College.  The team represents all HE providers equally, but is based at the University of Leeds.  The partnership seeks to reduce in equalities in higher education access and success for students most likely to experience inequality of opportunity.

'Care to Go Higher' is GHWY's CPD programme aimed at the key influencers of care-experienced young people, such as foster carers and children's home staff. The purpose of the training delivery officer role is to support, coordinate and deliver this CPD, as well as associated activities. You will be confident in public speaking and working in partnership with senior and strategic stakeholders from a range of external organisations, while acting on your own initiative to ensure quality activities are delivered and strategic targets are met.

Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role is not suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants. Information on other visa options is available at: https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration/work-visas
