Employer Engagement Assistant

The interivews are expected to be held on Thursday 23rd July 2026.

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner.   We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you passionate about supporting students’ employability beyond graduation and helping to build strong relationships between the University and employers?

We are seeking a well organised and proactive Employer Engagement Assistant to support the work of the Employer Engagement Team. In this role, you will contribute to the effective planning, coordination and delivery of careers events and employer engagement activities, helping to create meaningful connections between employers and our students.

You will provide high-quality administrative and operational support, showcasing excellent attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to manage a varied workload. A key part of the role involves supporting employers listing opportunities on the University’s careers platform, MyCareer, whilst ensuring records and event listings are accurate, consistent and up to date.

With experience in administration or events-support environments, you will demonstrate high levels of customer service and work collaboratively with colleagues, internal stakeholders and external employer partners. You will be comfortable supporting established processes, maintaining accurate records and contributing to the smooth running of events and programmes.

The role also involves working closely with colleagues across the University and providing support to activities within the Global Opportunities Division.

This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Information on other visa options is available at: https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration/work-visas

What we offer in return

  • 26 days holiday plus approx.16 Bank Holidays/days that the University is closed by custom (including Christmas) – That’s 42 days a year!
