Partnership Director
Are you a highly experienced and capable leader, adept at working at a senior level in the health and social care and/or academic sectors? Do you have outstanding relationship skills, with a proven record of success in developing innovative, cross-sector programmes of work with and through others? Would you like to be part of one of the UK’s largest academic health partnerships and help make a real difference to population health and wellbeing?
Leeds is a vibrant city. As well as having breath-taking countryside on the doorstep, it has been rated the UK’s best city centre and has one of the fastest growing economies in the UK. Home to world-leading academic excellence and a number of NHS national organisations, it attracts a high concentration of digital and health technology businesses.
The city’s leadership team is committed to reducing health inequalities and, by 2030, to helping Leeds become the best city in the UK for health and wellbeing. At Leeds Academic Health Partnership - one of the biggest partnerships of its kind in the UK – we play a central role in realising those ambitions.
We bring together leading expertise from within our partnership to identify and catalyse new ideas aimed at addressing some of the city’s toughest health and care challenges.
Our core partners comprise three of the city’s universities, its NHS organisations, Leeds City Council and the Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network. Our wider membership includes the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership, West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, Yorkshire Cancer Research, St Gemma’s Hospice and Leeds City College.
As our new partnership director, guided by our board, you will develop and lead the next phase of our work, building on our pioneering foundations. With experience of working in a complex partnership landscape, you’ll maintain a clear vision and have well-tuned political antennae. You’ll be a highly capable and respected leader, with plenty of courage and a calm determination to navigate through challenges and complexity and help us achieve our goals.
