Lecturer (Teaching & Research) in Ancient History and Curatorial Advisor (Numismatics)

Can you develop innovative ways to enable wider engagement with our collections? 

As a Lecturer in Ancient History and Culture, you will carry out teaching and research that contributes to our existing strengths in Classics and in the School more broadly. You will teach across our undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, with a particular focus on Ancient History and Numismatics You will also pursue a research agenda that builds on your achievements to date and that contributes to the School’s reputation for high quality and innovative research. You will be expected to contribute to the effective management of the School, Faculty and wider University by undertaking appropriate administrative duties.

The role will be shared equally between the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies, and the University of Leeds Libraries. In the library the position will be Curatorial Advisor (Numismatics Collection). 

You will have a PhD in Ancient History and Numismatics or a cognate field, and relevant teaching experience at undergraduate and taught postgraduate level.
