Business Development Manager

Salary Grade 7 (£37,099 – £44,263 p.a.) depending on experience

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner.    We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Do you have the business acumen, experience, and entrepreneurial mind set to deliver commercial growth and revenue generation for our Custom Specific Programme Business?

This is a newly created opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the Leeds University Business School’s Executive Education team. A key role, it will require leveraging a ‘consultative sales’ approach to understand the needs of organisations and tailor suitable solutions that align with the specific objectives and challenges of client organisations. It requires being skilled in developing key relationships with business leaders from both corporate and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This will need effective communication skills, strong business acumen, and working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction. You will work closely with potential clients to understand and define their specific staff development needs and translate these into impactful Executive Education solutions. In coordination with the Senior Director for Executive Programmes and faculty members, you will be responsible in ensuring that client requirements are translated into high-level programme specifications, designs, and business proposals.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Leeds University Business School (LUBS) Executive Education’s Custom Programme business stream. Reporting to the Senior Director for Executive Programmes, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the Custom Programme business, by aligning the business development activities with the Executive Education strategy, goals and revenue targets.
